What Is EPR?

EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) requires companies that place products on the EU market to finance the collection, recycling, and disposal of those products and their packaging. As an Amazon seller shipping to EU countries, you are considered a "producer" and must comply.

Key Requirements

You need to register with the relevant authority in each EU country where you sell, report the quantity and type of packaging you introduce, and pay fees to fund recycling programs. Countries like Germany (VerpackG), France (CITEO), and Spain have specific registration systems.
